Book Release + Giveaway!

NOTE: GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED

WooHoo! Today is the day! Today is the release of the "Best of Moda Bake Shop" book! I shared before that I am blessed to be included in this book and I'm so excited that the book is finally hitting store shelves.

I hope you'll run out and buy your copy ASAP because all of the MBS Chefs in the book have some fun things planned over the next couple of months and you'll need the book to participate. As you can see from the table of contents from the book, you'll want to grab your favorite precut fabrics and whip up these 15 easy projects from the Moda Bake Shop designers. There are helpful photos, clear instructions, detailed step-by-step illustrations, and clever tips sprinkled throughout to make these projects easy to complete. There's an awesome assortment of table toppers, wall hangings, and lap-size quilts and I know you'll want to bake up a batch of each one.

Of course, the first fun thing I'm doing is hosting a giveaway of a copy of the book! For a chance to win, be sure to comment on this post and tell me what project you want to make from the book before midnight (U.S. Central Time) on July 4th, 2020 and I'll choose a winner using the random number generator. Only U.S. entries are eligible to win. You can check out photos of all the projects in the book here on Martingale Publishing's website.

Of course, you'll all want to make my "A Lightbulb Moment" quilt to deck your halls this Christmas! But that's not the only thing you can make using my lightbulb block featured in the quilt. I'll be sharing additional free patterns on my blog over the next couple of months, including a tablerunner, tree skirt, advent bunting, potholder, tree decorations and who knows what else!

And of course pillows! Because all of the "Best of Moda Bake Shop" Chefs are hosting a Pillow Parade Blog Hop starting August 10! Each Chef will share a pillow tutorial using a block from their project in the book. Another reason why you need to get your book ASAP because you'll need the book to know how to make the block portion of each project. Naturally, if you're a lucky one, you can hold out to win my giveaway on July 4th (wink, wink).

So stay tuned! There are lots of fun things coming as I celebrate Christmas in July here on my blog with my "A Lightbulb Moment" projects.

Merry Quilting!
Sharla

P.S. Starting today on Instagram, you'll meet one of the Chefs from the book every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the Pillow Parade starts. There might be a few giveaways with the intros, just sayin'!

  2. Congratulations. A Lightbulb moment would be my choice. Reminds me of the lights on our tree when I was a kid in the '50s.

  4. Congrats to you and all featured in the book. Moda is always a name on which I rely. It is hard to choose a favorite. I think I would start with the houses on the cover and then do the popsicle quilt. Thanks for the opportunity!
